FIRST OF ALL, THOUGH, A GUNFIGHT BROKE OUT LAST NIGHT IN DAYTON, RESULTING IN A MAN BEING HIT BY A RICOCHET BULLET THAT GLANCED OFF A HEAVY BAG ACCORDING TO THE DAYTON DAILY NEWS. THE 22 YEAR OLD SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES AND DID NOT REQUIRE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL. THE MAN TOLD POLICE THAT HE ANSWERED A KNOCK AT HIS FRONT DOOR ON WATERVLIET AVENUE AND ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL KICKED IN THE HIS BACK DOOR AND ALL THREE MEN EXCHANGED GUNFIRE. POLICE WERE DISPATCHED TO THE ADDRESS JUST BEFORE 10PM. THE MAN’S GIRLFRIEND AND FOUR CHILDREN WERE IN THE BUILDING AT THE TIME OF THE HOME INVASION. POLICE REPORT EVIDENCE OF FELONY AND MISDEMEANOR DRUGS IN THE HOME. THE RESIDENT AND HIS GIRLFRIEND ADMITTED TO SELLING MARIJUANA OUT OF THE HOME AND RELATED THAT THE SHOOTING WAS ABOUT DRUG SALES. THE HOUSE WILL BE NUISANCE ABATED BECAUSE OF THE DRUGS FOUND, ACCORDING TO DAYTON LT. SHANNON MASON, WHICH MEANS THE PEOPLE AT THAT ADDRESS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETURN. THE CITY WILL TAKE STEPS TO CLOSE THE RESIDENCE DOWN BECAUSE OF DRUG USE. NO ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE AT THIS TIME.

WITH ALL OF THE SNOW, ICE AND COLD WEATHER WE HAVE BEEN HAVING…THERE HAVE BEEN A NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS REPORTED BY OUR NEWS SOURCES THROUGHOUT THE AREA! NO ONE WAS INJURED THIS MORNING IN A ROLLOVER CRASH ON NORTHBOUND INTERSTATE 675 IN FAIRBORN. CREWS HAD TO CLOSE THE NORTHBOUND LANES FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AROUND 7:30AM.

YESTERDAY, A WOMAN WAS INJURED WHEN SHE COLLIDED WITH A SEMI ON INTERSTATE 75 AROUND 9PM. SHE HAD TO BE EXTRICATED FROM THE VEHICLE AND WAS TAKEN TO MIAMI VALLEY HOSPITAL.

A SNEEZING FIT CAUSED A CRASH IN THE 2400 BLOCK OF COUNTY LINE ROAD IN KETTERING AROUND 5:15 YESTERDAY. THE DRIVER SNEEZED SEVERAL TIMES, CAUSING HER TO REAR-END THE TOYOTA COROLLA IN FRONT OF HER. LT. WILLIAM KAROLYI SAID THE CAROLLA WAS HIT HARD ENOUGH TO SEND THE VEHICLE ABOUT 125 FEET OFF THE ROADWAY. FOUR PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH INJURIES NOT CONSIDERED LIFE-THREATENING.

A MAN DIDN’T EXPECT TO GO TO CHURCH JUST THE WAY HE DID THIS MORNING! THAT MAN WILL BE CHARGED WITH OVI AFTER CRASHING HIS PICKUP TRUCK INTO MEDWAY BAPTIST CHURCH ON GERLAUGH ROAD AROUND 3AM. A CLARK COUNTY BUILDING INSPECTOR WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE TO INSPECT THE DAMAGE TO THE BUILDING. THE DRIVER OF THE PICKUP WAS NOT INJURED AND CALLED POLICE HIMSELF TO REPORT THE CRASH.

OHIO ATTORNEY GENERAL MIKE DEWINE WILL BE IN SPRINGFIELD TOMORROW TO HOST THE SIXTH OF SEVERAL COMMUNITY FORUMS TO BE HELD ACROSS THE STATE TO EXAMINE DRUG ABUSE IN OHIO.
