URBANA — Urbana’s city prosecutor said the proposed Buckeye II Wind Project might hurt medical helicopter operations and the municipal airport but said he is skeptical that either the state or the project’s managers are concerned with the city’s interests.
Everpower, the company in charge of the $55 million project, was under the impression most of those issues have been resolved, says Jason Dagger, project developer for the Buckeye Wind Project, adding Everpower is more than willing to work with all parties involved.

(FROM NEWS SUN) Greenon High School students are mourning the death of a senior who was hit by a train Friday.
Seventeen year old Austin Gilbert was walking westbound in the middle of the train tracks near the 2000 block of Enon Road when he was struck from behind by a train about 4:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The train’s engineer and conductor told detectives that they blew the train’s horn at Gilbert, but he didn’t move from the tracks. It hasn’t been determined why the teen didn’t react to the warning signal, Lt. Chris Clark of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.
Several hundred Greenon students, parents, teachers and community members held a candlelight vigil for Gilbert at Greenon High School on Saturday night. Some of his classmates also visited the tracks to put flowers there.
An official announcement was made to students at Greenon on Monday morning, and students were given access to several counselors on site to discuss their reactions as individuals or in groups. Students stopped by Gilbert’s locker on Monday to write messages or sign their names.
